Residents across the Sandhills may notice increased military activity as Special Forces candidates participate in the Army’s Robin Sage training exercise.
The exercise continues through August 27 and includes training areas across Moore, Lee, Harnett, Hoke, Montgomery, Richmond and Scotland counties. Additional activity is taking place throughout North Carolina and portions of South Carolina.
What Residents Could See and Hear
Residents may encounter military vehicles, uniformed personnel and participants wearing civilian clothing. Blank gunfire and occasional flares may also be used to create realistic training conditions.
