Familiar Fayetteville campus gets new chapter as Pauline Jones High School

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A familiar building in Fayetteville is getting a new purpose as Cumberland County Schools prepares to welcome students to Pauline Jones High School.

The school officially opened Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Students will begin attending Monday.

Pauline Jones High School is moving into a renovated building that previously housed Pauline Jones Elementary School and, more recently, served as a Fayetteville Technical Community College campus. The new high school replaces Ramsey Street High School, which Cumberland County Schools permanently closed at the end of the last school year as the district works to address aging buildings and reduce costly repairs…
