First, what is Pisacafe?
It’s actually short for PIedmont, SAndhills, and CApe FEar. Several years ago, the Coach Gerhard, along with the coaches at Greensboro Fencing Academy, and Cape Fear Fencing Association, started a circuit for elementary and middle school students only between our clubs to grow our beginner youth with the anxiety of trying to compete with other kids that compete on a regular basis and train 3-4 times a week.
Also, a points winner is awarded a gift card to Absolute Fencing Gear at the end of the year for the elementary and middle school fencers who earned the most amount of points. Points are earned based on a calculation of how well you placed in a tournament and how many other fencers were at the tournament…
