A motorcyclist was airlifted from Cameron Saturday morning after she was hit and severely injured. The two-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of N.C. Highway 24-27 and Nickens Road.
According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol on scene investigating the hit and run crash, an early 2000’s model brown or tan Chevrolet Tahoe was crossing onto Nickens Road from Dalrymple Road when the driver failed to yield or stop for a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling toward Carthage from Cameron on N.C. Highway 24-27.
