Fayetteville Issues Request for Developers to Transform 9.3-Acre Blount St. Site

The City of Fayetteville issued a Request for Qualification seeking a development team to partner on the Blount and Gillespie site. This 9.3-acre assembly of 41 parcels sits south of downtown. The RFQ represents the first phase of a two-step procurement process to find a qualified partner capable of delivering a mixed-use project.

The potential development site occupies the corner of Blount and Gillespie Street. Submission materials are due by July 1. Only applicants who submit through the RFQ will be able to move forward to the Request for Proposal phase.

“After resident input, we are confident that the fruition of development on the Blount and Gillespie site will bring not only great economic impact but also growth in our sense of community across the downtown area,” said Economic Development Manager Derrick McArthur, per a media release…
