RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) — A four-year-old is dead, and a man is in jail Friday evening after a tragic series of events in a Raeford home.
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a home in the 200 block of Chantily Lane just before 8 a.m., where there was an “unresponsive 4-year-old,” according to a press release from the agency.
Lifesaving measures were attempted on scene by an EMS crew to no avail, the sheriff’s office said. After the child was determined to be deceased, a joint investigation was opened by the sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division and Narcotic/Vice Suppression Unit to find answers…
