Maryland’s Best kicks off the 2026 Ice Cream Trail with new locations

ANNAPOLIS, MD—State agriculture officials have launched the 14th annual Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trail, introducing several new locations and a digital passport application designed to connect consumers with the state’s dairy industry.

The seasonal tourism initiative, which runs through Sept. 7, 2026, is managed by Maryland’s Best, a statewide marketing program within the Maryland Department of Agriculture. The trail features 13 on-farm creameries across 14 locations that produce and sell ice cream directly to the public, stretching more than 145 miles from western Maryland to the Eastern Shore.
