SODDY DAISY, Tenn. — Rough, fast-moving water at Big Soddy Creek Gulf caused a 10-year-old to drown on Memorial Day, according to Soddy Daisy Police.
Hamilton County emergency officials say the child went underwater while swimming and got stuck under rocks, prompting a large emergency response in the area.
