Mi Bella Guatemala Shop relocates to Comstock Park, offering more parking and space

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Customers of Mi Bella Guatemala Shop may have noticed something missing at the corner of Fulton Street and Fuller Avenue. The blue on the shop’s walls is now black and the signs for baked goods nailed to the tree in front are now gone.

Fortunately, the bakery is still in operation, just 15 minutes away. They relocated to 3728 Alpine Avenue NW in Comstock Park. The family says the move was driven largely by the need for more parking and additional space for customers.

“Mostly we moved here because of the location,” said Josué Rodas Hernández, who translated for his parents and bakery owners, Blay Orodus and Alva Hernandez. “On Fulton, there was less parking. It was a good area, there just wasn’t a lot of parking.”…
