GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Three young men stood before a packed downtown Grand Rapids church Saturday morning where they were ordained into the Catholic priesthood.
Bishop of the Grand Rapids Diocese David Walkowiak ordained the men during a Mass with the Rite of Ordination of Priests at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew late Saturday morning. The new priests, Charlie Leidel, Logan McGahan and Hunter Ostapowicz, are set to start their faith careers at West Michigan churches this month.
“As you prepare for the priesthood, Logan, Hunter and Charlie, lay down your lives for the Lord who loves you, who will be with you always. Always keep your eyes on the example of Christ and His priestly service. The Good Shepherd who came not to be served but to serve and who came to seek out and save what was lost.”…
