Portland city council to weigh renaming César Chávez Boulevard Tuesday

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland City Council is set to consider an ordinance Tuesday that would rename Northeast and Southeast César E. Chávez Boulevard within city limits to Northeast and Southeast Campesinos Boulevard.

The proposal, sponsored by Councilor Loretta Smith, is scheduled to be taken up at the council’s public works committee meeting, which starts at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
