COLUMBIA, S.C. — Residents in Northeast Richland County are split over a proposed widening project along Polo Road that county leaders say is designed to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
The project would redesign portions of Polo Road between Mallet Hill Road and Two Notch Road. Plans call for the road to remain two lanes but include new turn lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks and upgraded traffic signals.
