NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk Police officer shot and killed a suspect who dragged the officer with their car on East Little Creek Road, Police Chief Mark Talbot said in a briefing late Monday night.
Norfolk Police say the man was wanted on several misdemeanor warrants.
The shooting happened in the 1800 block of East Little Creek Road, according to police, who said additional updates are being gathered.
Talbot said the officer was conducting a routine traffic stop in the 1800 block of East Little Creek Road when the suspect pulled into a shopping center. The officer, who was with a backup officer, learned that the suspect was wanted on several misdemeanor warrants, according to a Norfolk Police public information officer, and ordered the driver to get out of the car…
