‘Senseless decision’: Family mourns woman shot, killed in NoDa neighborhood

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A family is in mourning after a woman was shot and killed in a popular Charlotte neighborhood last week.

Police said 38-year-old Taylor Sylver was shot just after 2 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, along North Davidson Street in the NoDa area. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Her accused killer, 26-year-old Adaysia Coles, was arrested in Birmingham, Alabama, less than 24 hours after the shooting. She has been charged with murder.
