Contract postal worker pleads guilty to failing to deliver hundreds of pieces of mail in Baldwin

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Robertsdale man who was employed as a contract postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service admitted that he failed to deliver hundreds of pieces of mail.

Timothy Chandler, 23, pleaded guilty to delay or destruction of the mail.

According to Chandler’s written plea agreement, he had a delivery route that included homes and businesses. Robertsdale police responded on Nov. 29 to a complaint about a large amount of undelivered mail found last year found in an apartment recently rented to him.
