The Santa Barbara Police Department are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the death of Vesna Prepolec, whose body was discovered on the beach earlier this month, according to a department news release issued Tuesday, May 26.
Police identified the woman as Prepolec and urged anyone with information about her or her recent whereabouts.
The department said Prepolec’s body was discovered on May 8, 2026 and they are seeking any information. “If you are familiar with Vesna, or if you have any information about her, please call Detective Baca at 805-897-2346,” the department stated.
