San Jose renters and landlords stuck in unresolved disputes at small apartment buildings now have a city-backed mediator to call on—and $250,000 in city funding to make it happen.
Catholic Charities has been awarded a 12-month contract to run the Responsible Landlord Engagement Initiative, according to the Housing Department memo. The contract runs through April 30, 2027.
