Drivers in Westlake should expect detours today as filming for the new Taylor Sheridan television series “Frisco King,” starring Samuel L. Jackson, closes a portion of the Highway 170 service road.
The Texas Department of Transportation will close the westbound and eastbound service road of State Highway 170 from Parish Lane to Schwab Way, including the intersection with the Highway 114 service road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The closure is located about 10 minutes northwest of DFW Airport in Tarrant County.
Paramount Pictures received permission from the town to film scenes for the series, a spinoff of Sheridan’s “Tulsa King.” Production has been active across North Texas in recent weeks, with previous closures in Southlake, Frisco and downtown Fort Worth.
The Town of Westlake urged residents to avoid the area if possible and apologized for any inconvenience. Main lanes of Highway 170 remain open. No major traffic incidents have been reported as of early morning…
