SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An early morning argument turned into a shot being fired in northwest Sioux Falls Monday.

Around 2 a.m. Monday, Metro Communications received a report of a shot being fired in the area of West Maple Street and North Career Avenue, Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Aaron Benson said at Tuesday’s briefing. The caller stated that there was a group of people in the parking lot running away from the shot.
When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke to a 20-year-old who was still in the parking lot. He reported that he was inside an apartment where a gathering was taking place when an argument had started.
He also stated that the argument spilled out into the parking lot with multiple people and one of the people had taken out a handgun and fired one shot at him, which caused him to run away from the scene…
