Plans have officially been submitted to convert the former SunTrust/Truist bank building at Germantown Square Shopping Center into a new Starbucks with a drive-thru.
According to planning documents submitted to Montgomery County, the proposal would redevelop the existing standalone bank building at 12651 Wisteria Drive, located at the intersection of Wisteria Drive and Great Seneca Highway (MD 119). More than two years ago, we first reported that Starbucks was expected to take over the former bank space at the shopping center.
The newly submitted site plan amendment states that the project would not add any additional building square footage, but would instead reconfigure portions of the existing site to accommodate a drive-thru lane and other upgrades…
