Hundreds expected for public hearing on proposed quarry

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Hundreds of people are expected to attend a public hearing Tuesday night on a proposed quarry in southwest Allen County.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Conference Center. Allen County Commissioner Ron Turpin said officials are preparing for as many as 1,000 attendees.

The Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals and the Plan Commission are expected to weigh in on the project.
