FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Local feathers have been ruffled over Flock cameras being used by the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD). A handful of the license plate scanners (LPRs) were rolled out in summer 2024. Now, the department operates dozens.
Despite stellar crime statistics the department says are fueled in part by Flock, Fort Wayne City Council felt public pressure as Flock’s 2027 contract with the city was set for a vote during Tuesday’s committee session.
