GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) – A piece of school history buried beneath Southern Elementary School for 50 years was opened Tuesday.
Students, teachers and alumni gathered to celebrate the school’s historic time capsule, first dedicated in 1976.
“It’s just a wonderful historic event, where people who love this community and have loved this community for many generations have been able to come in and see their artifacts from the time capsule, and build that sense of community in the school here today.
