This southern Indiana candy store could win best candy store in America award again

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — An iconic, family-owned candy story in southern Indiana is asking for votes to repeat their win as the best candy store in America.

Schimpff’s Confectionery, which has been operating in historic downtown Jeffersonville for the past 135 years, was voted the best independent candy store in the nation last year.

The locally owned store is known for selling a wide variety of sweets ranging from their world-famous red hots to toffee, and Modjeskas. The business also features a deli lunch counter, an authentic 1950’s soda fountain and a candy museum…
