DEL MAR, Calif. — After 37 years in business, Pacifica Del Mar announced it will be closing in December. The restaurant has been a fixture of the North County dining scene for decades and has sat in Del Mar Plaza since 1989.
Hutchens has been with the restaurant for 30 years. CBS 8 asked him why, after 37 years, Pacifica plans to close.
“That’s honestly a question I think you’re gonna have to check with Del Mar Plaza owners and management. As I said earlier, we’ve been here a long, long time. We’ve kind of been the anchor of this plaza. But unfortunately, our lease is up, and they are not willing to renew it,” Hutchens said…
