LAKESIDE, Calif. — A Lakeside man has received three parking tickets since February, including two over the weekend, at $62.50 each. Dan Scott says he has parked in the same area in the 12300 block of Julian Avenue for years without issue.
The violation code listed on his tickets, 72.117, traces to a San Diego County ordinance about no parking in designated zones. But the ordinance does not address what the arrows on no-parking signs actually mean.
Scott called the number on the ticket and spoke with a sergeant with the San Diego Sheriff’s Office to get answers to ask why they were ticketing now, when people have been parking at the location for 40 years…
