KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Parade of Hearts sculpture was severely damaged over the weekend, prompting police to investigate and the artist to begin restoration work.
The ‘Bee Part of Our Hive’ installation sat outside The Beehive, a nonprofit at East 8th Street and The Paseo. Police said a suspect damaged the heart and several other items along The Paseo on Sunday morning. Investigators have video of the incident.
Artist Mike Elder loaded the damaged sculpture into a trailer and hauled it an hour back to his workshop to begin repairs…
