Westbound I-70 closed west of Denver due to tanker rollover

Westbound lanes of I-70 were closed west of Denver early Wednesday morning due to a fuel tanker rollover. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, I-70 westbound was closed between Morrison Road and Lookout Mountain after the crash.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, trooper responded to the crash just after 2 a.m. for reports of a single rollover crash involving a fuel tanker. Investigators said the tanker went off the right side of the road near mile marker 258, west of Golden, rolling onto its side.

The driver is a 27-year-old male from Denver and was not injured. The CSP hazmat unit responded to the leak in the tanker…
