SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Parole holds in the Minnehaha County Jail are costing the county money, county sheriff Mike Milstead said.
The state pays the county $95 a day to house parole hold inmates. Meanwhile it costs the county about $132 a day to house those inmates. That’s roughly a $37 loss each day.
