Man on probation in murder case allegedly committed several robberies, shot UAB doctor

A 25-year-old Birmingham man who previously pleaded guilty to murder is headed back to prison after authorities said he violated his probation by carrying out multiple robberies earlier this year.

The three alleged robberies happened in January and included a UAB doctor who was shot during a holdup while he was walking his dog.
