PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Crews in Plainfield Township responded to a large house fire Wednesday evening, according to the Kent County Dispatch Authority.
The house, located on Kroes Street NE between Brewer Avenue NE and Childsdale Avenue NE near Rockford High School, caught fire shortly before 8:30 p.m., according to the Plainfield Township Fire Department.
When firefighters got to the scene, the fire was “well-involved” with heavy smoke, the department said.
