DES MOINES, Iowa — One person escaped a fire at a home in the Salisbury Oaks neighborhood on Wednesday morning in Des Moines.
Lt. Tyler Mark, Public Information Officer for the Des Moines Fire Department, said a resident of 4001 River Oaks Drive called in the fire on the second floor of the home around 7:39 a.m. They were able to exit the home themselves.
Toddler found unresponsive in Stuart pond airlifted to hospital
Firefighters found smoke coming from the second floor and located the fire, which was extinguished quickly, according to Lt. Mark. Crews used fans to help ventilate the home.
No injuries were reported from the fire, and Lt. Mark said the cause is still being investigated…
