A 67-year-old inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer has died, according to officials.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the inmate as Larry Thomas. He was found unresponsive in the prison infirmary around 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, where he had been receiving treatment for a terminal illness.
