COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) alumnus has landed an internship in Washington D.C. with U.S. Congressman Sanford Bishop Jr. in the United States House of Representatives, according to SGTC officials.
Prior to attending SGTC, alumnus Chance Simpson of Marshallville, attended Macon County High School while simultaneously taking dual enrollment classes at SGTC, helping him earn his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Networking Support from SGTC prior to graduating high school.
According to SGTC, starting dual enrollment classes during his sophomore year is precisely what landed him on such a pathway to national recognition and academic excellence.
