Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to open center for humanitarian aid, skills training

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is opening a new center focused on humanitarian aid and skills training.

The Church has opened a 250,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City to provide job training, language courses and other practical skills to individuals from over two dozen countries, while processing donated goods for humanitarian use worldwide.

The center is part of the Church’s mission to follow Jesus Christ’s second great commandment: “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
