Albany man accused of selling stolen trailer for $3,000, also had warrants

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — An Albany man is in custody, accused of stealing and selling a trailer — and also on two active warrants. He may also be concealing criminal behavior by using multiple aliases and business names, according to New York State Police.

On May 17, State Police based in Schodack arrested Joaquin A. Noa-Dos Santos, 23, on a warrant for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd, a class “D” felony, and Grand Larceny 3rd, a class “D” felony.

On October 31, 2024, Troopers received a report that an Oswego County resident had purchased a trailer listed on Facebook Marketplace on October 5th, 2024, in North Greenbush, NY, for more than $3,000. That trailer was later determined to have been reported stolen. The investigation determined that Noa-Dos Santos, who reportedly identified himself as a dealer and the owner of the trailer, met with the victim and sold them the trailer. Noa-Dos Santos had allegedly purchased the trailer from a dealership in Johnston, Rhode Island, with a bad check. When payment was not received, the dealership reported the trailer stolen.
