Ohio woman left German shepherd puppy in hot car for hours while she enjoyed the rides at amusement park

In Sandusky, Ohio, a 22-year-old woman from Parma was arrested last week at Cedar Point after allegedly leaving her six-month-old German shepherd puppy in an SUV for hours while outside temperatures had soared into the 80s.

According to the police report the Honda SUV “did have the passenger side window rolled down about 1.5 inches” but “they could feel the heat emanating through the slightly open window.” The dog was found curled up along the rear passenger-side floorboard. he was seen excessively panting. There was no water in sight.

Officers had contacted the Cedar Point maintenance crew for help gaining access to the vehicle, removed the dog and gave him water.

Once freed from the vehicle, the puppy was warm to the touch…
