CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati is moving forward with efforts to stop street takeovers after passing tougher penalties in April.
City Councilmember Mark Jeffreys is working on an emergency ordinance that could take effect next week if approved. The proposed law targets what he called clear lawlessness.
“They’re highly dangerous, disruptive to neighbors, they’re a drain on police resources and they damage our streets,” Jeffreys said.
