Family still searching for answers 21 years after Douglas Grabowski disappeared from Bent Mountain

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – More than two decades after Douglas Grabowski disappeared from Bent Mountain, his family and investigators say they still believe someone knows what happened.

Grabowski was last reported seen around Mother’s Day in 2005 in the Bent Mountain area, where his family says he rarely left. He was reported missing May 24, 2005, and Roanoke County Police said investigators launched an extensive search and investigation.

In November 2006, Grabowski’s remains were found in a wooded area of Blountville, Tennessee. Police said Grabowski had no known ties to the area and no known reason to be there…
