ARDOT says increased military traffic expected in coming weeks

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is warning that drivers should expect more military traffic on the highways in coming weeks.

ARDOT said in a release that from May 29 through June 15 an uptick in military traffic will be expected as the National Guard goes to and from yearly training.

“National Guard troops will be traveling from their respective armories to train at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center in Barling. These convoys consisting of large, tactical vehicles will travel at a slower speed than normal traffic,” ARDOT said…
