SHS students attend Skilled Trades Boot Camp

Stoughton High School students were among those invited by Hooper to the company’s annual Skilled Trades Boot Camp earlier this month at its DeForest Fabrication Facility.

According to a Hooper news release, the event provided students with an inside look at career opportunities in the construction industry through demonstrations and interactive activities led by skilled trades professionals. Students participated in experiences involving welding, HVAC fabrication, plumbing systems, construction safety, fire protection installation, electric power operations, and virtual design technology.

“Hands-on learning experiences can make a tremendous difference for students exploring future career options,” said Jamie Pauli, Plumbing Project Manager and Skilled Trades Boot Camp Leader at Hooper. “The skilled trades offer rewarding careers with strong long-term opportunities, and we’re proud to help students explore those pathways.”…
