POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Residents of Eagle Lake in Polk County are rallying to save a historic 100-year-old schoolhouse after city leaders voted to proceed with demolition plans.
The building, constructed in 1926 and now known as the Linda E. Weldon Activity Center, holds significant historical value for many community members.
