EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — East Providence leaders gathered Thursday for a groundbreaking ceremony at Crescent Park.
The waterfront park off Bullocks Point Avenue in Riverside is set to receive $1.5 million worth of upgrades, which include a new 1,600 square-foot building with restrooms, offices and storage space, as well as new walkways, landscaping, and a 5,000 square-foot concrete pad to support a new event tent.

While construction will be happening over the next several months, the park will still host events throughout the summer.
