Central NY manufacturer rides AI gold rush and doubles capacity to meet explosive demand

Clay, N.Y. – A company that makes steel and aluminum products is doubling its manufacturing capacity to meet soaring demand from the rapidly growing data center industry.

American Steel and Aluminum recently took over the former Whitacre Rebar building on Wetzel Road, adding 50,000 square feet of new manufacturing space. Whitacre, a maker of steel rebar, moved out more than a year ago.
