SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Springfield’s women’s shelter now has a permanent location.
A ribbon-cutting on Tuesday marked the opening of Safe to Sleep at Crosslines on East Division. The shelter offers space for around 40 women a night. Now they will not have to sleep on a cot in an open room.
The shelter has built low-rise walls that create a more private space. Each space includes a bed, outlet, and personal light. Outside of the sleeping area, there is a kitchen, bathroom, and shower area…
