Dade County to buy 2 new ambulances with federal grant and local tax dollars

DADE COUNTY, Ga. — Dade County says it is investing more than $826,000 in new ambulances and emergency medical equipment.

County leaders announced plans to purchase two new ambulances using a combination of federal grant money and local SPLOST funding.

The project includes a $406,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Community Facilities Grant Program and more than $420,000 in SPLOST funds approved by the Dade County Board of Commissioners…
