Two CNY women turned their pain into community after personally discovering the isolation of grieving from stillbirth and infant loss.
After her son Lincoln passed away from SIDS last year, Scarlett said, “I was very overwhelmed and shut down a little bit; I felt very isolated and alone…” But, thanks to her friend Maddie Zalyski, that feeling didn’t last long. “Maddie took me to the cemetery to see Lincoln’s grave and we looked around… I saw that this happens to a lot of people and I am not alone.” From there, the idea for Cradled in the Stars was born.
Cradled in the Stars seeks to provide resources, support, and most importantly community for families who have lost a pregnancy, an infant, or a young child. “We want people to never leave alone,” co-founder Scarlett O’Hara told iHeart Oswego. “This community is by moms, for moms and families.”…
