The Milwaukee County Board has approved a long-term lease agreement for the historic Trimborn Farm after months of redevelopment discussions and negotiations over the future of the property, according to a news release from Milwaukee County.
In a 15-2 vote, the agreement allows the site ‒ located at 8881 W. Grange Ave. in Greendale ‒ to be preserved, maintained and opened to greater public use through a partnership with Two Weathervanes LLC, led by Greendale native Virginia Emmons-McNaught.
The approval comes months after Milwaukee County announced its intent to award a redevelopment contract to Emmons-McNaught following a county request for proposals seeking long-term partners to help preserve and financially sustain the aging property that helps show what life was like during the late 19th century through tours, drop-in programs, summer concerts, workshops and special events…
