JOLIET, Ill. (WGN) — NASCAR racing returns this Fourth of July to Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet.
It’s the first race since 2019. COVID closed it down, but it’s ready to reopen now. WGN’s Erik Runge got a firsthand look at what drivers see, and, as one might imagine, his heart was racing as he climbed into a real race car to drive the track.
Chicagoland Speedway general manager Jacque Herrera is ready to welcome riders and guests this July 4 holiday.
