Man who fired hundreds of rounds, causing SWAT standoff in Rio Rancho sentenced

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) –  A Rio Rancho man who shot hundreds of bullets into the sky, leading to a SWAT standoff at his home, will not serve any jail time.

Eric Brusstar, 56, was facing nine years in prison after he pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon in November.
